Sif Holding and Royal IHC have signed heads of agreement on an intended acquisition by Sif of “KCI the engineers” (KCI).
Final agreement is subject to due diligence outcome and foreseen in the first quarter of 2021. Works Councils of parties involved have been informed or asked to advise on the intended acquisition. Financial details will not be disclosed. For further details please see attached PDF.
Sif Netherlands B.V., in a consortium with Smulders Projects Belgium N.V., will manufacture all monopiles and transition pieces (approx. 260 kton steel) for the Dogger Bank A& B Offshore Wind Farm project located in the North Sea off the North East coast of England.

After being in the Sif yard for over 10 months, the last of the piles for the Tyra oil platform - built by Dragados Offshore - was loaded last Thursday.
Today, the 12th of January, the first 9 monopiles of the total 33 for Akita Noshiro have arrived in Akita from Sif’s terminal in Rotterdam. This event further contributes to the kick-start of offshore wind in Japan. Sif’s client, Kajima Corporation is one of the biggest general contractors in Japan, and mentioned the following: 'Kajima has been looking forward to seeing the first shipment arrive in Akita.'
Sif and Van Oord sign Contract for the Fabrication and Supply of Monopiles for the Hollandse Kust Noord Offshore Wind Project Roermond.
Sif Holding n.v. will manufacture 70 TP-less design monopiles (65 kton steel) for Van Oord. Van Oord is contracted by operator CrossWind for the construction of the 759 MW project Hollandse Kust Noord in The Netherlands. CrossWind is a joint venture between Shell and Eneco. Sif’s scope comprises manufacturing of the monopiles and storage at the MV2 facility in Rotterdam in 2022- 2023. For further info see attached PDF.
Preparatory work for the construction of the Hollandse Kust Zuid wind farm is in full swing. Earlier this year, a test foundation was installed on the Maasvlakte at the terminal of Sif.
Our monopiles and transition pieces for Triton Knoll offshore wind farm farm have been loaded by Seaway Strahsnov. At the same time a met mast monopile that collected wind and wave data for offshore wind farm East Anglia ONE was demolished. This was delivered at Sif by James Fisher and Pacific Osprey of Swire Blue Ocean.
