On 24 October 2015, the first pile was driven for the new Sif location at Maasvlakte 2, Rotterdam, was lain. The founders of Sif were the guests of honour at the foundation of the pile driving ceremony.

This marks the laying of the foundation for the new production facilities where Sif is able to assemble and coat parts, while it also provides more storage capacity and boasts a unique heavy load quayside measuring 400 meters.

This enables Sif to produce more and larger monopiles.

Monopiles, tubulars, jackets, and other offshore components will be processed at the new location and delivered to clients.

This new location at Maasvlakte 2 becomes a new home base for the further development of wind farms in the North Sea and beyond.

Sif will be able to offer its services to projects such as the Borssele wind farm where significant developments will take place in the next few years.
