What you should know before visiting Sif Maasvlakte 2
Please read the following rules carefully and ensure compliance during your visit to our location at Maasvlakte 2.
Would you like to record and/or publish visual material (photos and videos)? Please see site rules for photos and videos below. In addition, every visitor must complete the access form at least 24 hours in advance.
1. Before Your Visit
Watch our Safety Video
Before entering the factory, you must watch our safety video. This is mandatory. After watching the video, you can download a certificate, which you should be able to show on request.
Registration
This location falls under the International Ship & Port Facility Security (ISPS) code. Register at least 24 hours in advance using this form. Your registration will be automatically forwarded to security and your Sif contact person.
2. Parking and Traffic Rules
- Reverse parking is required in designated areas.
- Adhere to the following speed limits:
- Tweede Maasvlakte (main road): 20 km/h
- Factory halls (both locations): 5 km/h
- Dutch traffic regulations apply throughout the site.
3. Check-in Procedures and Escort Requirement
- Report to security before entering the premises. Security personnel may inspect visitors and vehicles.
- Present a valid ID (passport, national ID card, or Dutch driver’s license).
- Visitors under 18 are not allowed.
- You will receive a visitor badge, which must be worn visibly at all times. Return it to security upon departure.
- Check in at the main office reception before entering any other buildings. Check out upon leaving.
Visitors may only enter the premises under the supervision of their Sif contact person.
4. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
PPE is mandatory in production and storage areas:
- Covering work clothing
- Safety glasses
- Safety shoes
- Safety helmet
- Hearing protection (required inside halls)
- Orange safety vest
5. Site Rules
Photos and Videos
Capturing and publishing photos or videos is strictly prohibited. Exceptions:
- Client representatives and contractual agreements:
- Images may only be taken based on contractual agreements or by client representatives.
- Always consult your Sif contact person in advance.
- Filming is only allowed under supervision and may only be used for internal documentation.
- Photo and video publications with Communications' approval:
- Want to publish visual material? Read the rules and restrictions first and request approval in advance via this form.
- The Communications department will review your request within 10 working days.
- Publishing is only allowed after approval.
Other Rules
- Smoking: Only permitted in designated covered smoking areas outdoors.
- Alcohol and Drugs: Possession, use, or being under the influence is strictly prohibited. Alcohol and drug tests may be conducted.
- Waste Disposal: Dispose of waste properly in the designated bins.
Failure to comply with these rules may result in a warning or removal from the premises.
