Moselle Disruption has no impact on Sif production
Dec 13, 2024
On December 8, 2024, a ship collided with a lock on the Moselle River near Müden, Germany. As a result, lock passages for ships are expected to be unavailable until March 2025. Normally, steel plates for our foundations are transported via the Moselle to our locations in Roermond and Rotterdam.
Thanks to our preparatory measures, this situation has no impact on our production. Our locations have sufficient stock of steel plates to continue production without interruption until the end of February 2025. Additionally, we have arranged alternative transport solutions for the delivery of steel plates after February.
Production at Sif remains fully on schedule, with no disruption caused by the Moselle blockage.
