Roermond (the Netherlands), 13 March 2018 Sif Holding N.V. ("Sif", or the "Company") today announces that Jan Bruggenthijs will not be available for reappointment as CEO and member of the Executive Board.
The market for wind energy is growing across the world, not least now that we have achieved grid parity. Offshore wind is an enormous growth market for Sif too. We are continuing to pursue our work both nationally and internationally. And we are always looking towards the future. Specifically we see a scenario where floating wind farms represent the latest development.
Offshore wind energy is becoming increasingly popular in Japan. However, Japanese and other Asian harbours are currently not equipped to deal with the large number of offshore wind foundations. There are just a handful of harbours that can carry the weights of offshore foundations heavier than 1,000 tonnes without requiring significant adjustments and investments.
