The corona virus (officially COVID-19) is spreading. No reason to panic, but it is important to take a number of measures to prevent the virus from spreading as much as possible. The National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) monitors the spread of the virus and indicates which measures (should) be taken. Based on those measures and the current situation, Sif has daily crisis team consultations. This resulted in the following guidelines. Because we operate on a daily basis, the guidelines below can be adjusted daily:

For all employees

RIVM calls on everyone to wash their hands, cough and sneeze in the inside of your elbow, to use paper tissues and not to shake hands. Sif follows that advice.

Sif ensures sufficient soap and disinfection gel and that surfaces to which the virus can adhere are regularly cleaned.

In addition, we urge all employees to report to your supervisor (and / or HSE) if they have had physical contact with someone who is a suspected corona or has a proven corona infection in the past 14 days, has been in risk areas and if someone has complaints such as shortness of breath, cold, cough and / or fever.

Employees from North Brabant

Sif also follows the advice of the RIVM when calling on all employees who live in Noord-Brabant to limit their social contacts in the event of a cold, cough or fever and to stay home as much as possible.

In addition, we ask Sif employees who live in North Brabant to work at home wherever possible. supervisor. Our MT members who live in Brabant also follow the advice and work at home.

Visitors from North Brabant

For visitors from North Brabant, we request that they adhere to the guidelines of the RIVM: If there is no immediate need for a meeting: please postpone or via Skype / telco.

Temporary workers, subcontractors, suppliers, drivers, inspectors, customer staff and other visitors

As a precaution and protection of our employees, we will have our temporary workers, subcontractors and suppliers who visit us sign a form stating that they:

  • have had no physical contact with someone who is a suspected corona or has a proven corona infection in the past 14 days;
  • have not been in risk areas and;
  • have no complaints such as shortness of breath, cold, cough and / or fever.

If visitors declare that they cannot meet the above conditions, we cannot grant access to that person.

If a driver does not meet the above conditions and unloading is required:

  • We refer the driver to the unloading place and request that he remain in the bus or truck;
  • After being provided with a mask and gloves, a Sif transport employee will take the documents (eg delivery note) from the bus or truck and unload the cargo;
  • After unloading the load, the driver can leave.

We ask for your understanding and cooperation.
