Fred van Beers
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Fred van Beers (born 1962) has been CEO of Sif since September 2018. As qualified marine engineer and with an experienced marketing, sales and managerial background, he brings extensive international experience. Fred held senior positions at Wärtsilä, including Vice President Services Area North Europe, and served as CEO of shipyard Blohm & Voss in Hamburg. His focus is on a safe workspace, operational excellence, strategic growth and sustainable innovation.
Boudewijn van Schaïk
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Boudewijn van Schaïk (born 1979) joined the Executive Board as CFO in May 2025. He has a broad background in corporate finance, treasury and M&A, with experience at SBM Offshore and Avantium. Boudewijn studied accountancy and corporate finance at the University of Cape Town and brings deep financial expertise and international experience.
Pepijn Timmermans
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Pepijn Timmermans (1973) has been Sif’s COO and part of the Executive Board since December 2025. He has a background in Automotive Engineering and previously co-founded and served as Managing Director of Schleifenbauer Products, a supplier of intelligent power distribution units for data centres. His specialisation lies in process optimisation and digitalisation. Pepijn held various senior roles at VDL Nedcar in supply chain management and IT. Immediately prior to joining Sif, he was COO of VDL Bus Valkenswaard B.V.
Management team
At Sif, we combine entrepreneurship with robust governance. We operate under a two-tier governance model: the Executive Board is responsible for day-to-day management, strategic direction and operational decisions. The Supervisory Board oversees and advises on strategic matters. Together, they steer the company towards sustainable growth and long-term success.
Joost Heemskerk
Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)
Joost Heemskerk (born 1977) joined Sif as Commercial Director in June 2020. He holds an MSc in Civil/Offshore Engineering from TU Delft and has fifteen years of experience at companies including SBM Offshore, 2-B Energy and Bain & Company. Joost brings in-depth knowledge of offshore wind, oil & gas and strategic project management. His focus is on commercial growth, market development and customer partnerships.
Robert Verkroost
HR Director
Robert Verkroost (born 1967) joined Sif as HR Director in July 2023. With a broad background in HR leadership at GGN, DPD Netherlands and various interim roles, Robert focuses on talent development, organisational change and strengthening a sustainable, people-centred company culture. He studied at Fontys University of Applied Sciences and completed change management programmes at Sioo and ST Group.
Paul van Warmerdam
Business Unit Director Roermond
Paul van Warmerdam (born 1970) started at Sif in January 2025 as Business Unit Director for the Roermond site. He holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from TU Delft and has nearly 30 years of experience in the semiconductor and manufacturing industries. Paul has held various management roles focused on operations, engineering and business management.
Fridus Rijnten
Business Unit Director Maasvlakte 2
Fridus Rijnten (1976) has been Business Unit Director Maasvlakte 2 since November 2025. Fridus brings a broad mix of technical and business expertise. Prior to joining Sif, he worked at Royal IHC, where he served, among other roles, as Director of the IHC One Equipment Company. Earlier in his career he held senior commercial leadership and managing director positions. He is educated as naval architect at TU Delft (MSc) and later completed an Executive MBA at Rotterdam School of Management. Fridus’s focus is on ensuring continuity at Sif’s Maasvlakte site and on maintaining and strengthening external relationships.
Michel Kurstjens
Director Projects a.i.
Michel Kurstjens (1967) started his career in 1991 as a mechanical engineer. Michel joined Sif in April 2013 as Chief Commercial Officer. Since June 2020, he has focused on long-term market opportunities as Director New Ventures & Products. With over 12 years of experience at Sif, he is well acquainted with customer and contract portfolios. This is why he was asked to temporarily assume the role of Director Projects, while continuing his responsibilities as Director New Ventures & Products.
Supervisory Board
The Supervisory Board monitors Sif’s strategic direction, supports the Executive Board and oversees the achievement of our strategic and sustainability goals.
Annabelle Vos
Annabelle Vos (born 1978) is General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Fugro N.V. and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. With a background in Corporate M&A and Litigation at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, she brings deep legal and governance expertise.
Neil McArthur – Chair
Neil McArthur (born 1961) combines a background in mechanical engineering with extensive international board experience. He was CEO of Arcadis N.V., a partner at Booz Allen Hamilton, and held senior management roles at Shell. He currently serves as a non-executive director at Southern Water (UK) and AFRY AB (Sweden).
Peter Wit – Vice Chair
Peter Wit (born 1967) brings deep expertise in finance, compliance and management accounting. He was CFO at Dockwise Ltd and Inashco B.V., and held various senior financial roles within the Royal Dutch Shell Group. He is currently CFO at IQIP.
Mathijs Koster
Mathijs Koster (born 1986) has a strong track record in private equity and corporate finance, with experience at Egeria, Goldman Sachs Asset Management and ABN AMRO. He also serves as a supervisory board member at Royal Mosa and Leads.io.
Angelique Heckman
Angelique Heckman (born 1968) has extensive experience in HR and organisational development. She held senior roles as Chief People & Culture Officer at Royal Swinkels Family Brewers and DSM. Her focus is on leadership, culture and sustainable employability.
