Transition Pieces
Transition Pieces form a crucial connection between the monopile and the wind turbine tower. They ensure a stable interface between the turbine and its foundation.
At Sif, we produce Transition Pieces (TPs) in close collaboration with our partner Smulders. Together, we combine high-quality craftsmanship with scalable capacity.
Within this partnership, Sif is responsible for manufacturing the steel shell structures. Smulders then completes the outfitting: installing secondary steel components such as access ladders, work platforms and cable trays, as well as all electrical systems and coatings.
Our combined production capacity is well aligned with the growing demand for larger and heavier TPs. Production takes place in dedicated facilities in the Netherlands and Belgium, with a strong focus on efficiency and quality assurance. In 2024, we delivered for projects including Baltyk II & III and He Dreiht, for which we produced the Transition Pieces.
With our TP solutions, we provide a reliable foundation for offshore wind energy and contribute to accelerating the energy transition.
