Visiting Sif safely and well-prepared
To ensure your visit is safe and pleasant, we kindly ask you to read our visitor guidelines in advance. This way, you’ll know exactly what to expect from us, and what we expect from you.
BEFORE YOUR VISIT
1. REGISTER VIA THE ACCESS FORM
Maasvlakte 2 is subject to the International Ship & Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code. You are required to register your visit to Sif Maasvlakte 2 at least 24 hours in advance using the acess form at the bottom of this page. Your registration will be automatically forwarded to security and your contact person. Without registration, we cannot grant you access to our site.
2. Safety Instructions
Please watch the mandatory safety instruction video before entering the factories at Maasvlakte 2 and in Roermond. This takes approximately 10 minutes. You will receive a certificate upon completion, which you must be able to show on request.
Are you a frequent visitor to our Maasvlakte 2 location and do you already have a valid safety certificate*? Then you only need to complete the mandatory access form (at the bottom of the page) no later than 24 hours before your visit.
* If you have not visited the location for a period longer than 3 months, the validity of the certificate will expire.
2. Parking and Traffic Rules
- Maasvlakte 2:
- Main road on premises: 20 km/h
- Factory halls: 5 km/h
- Roermond:
- Mijnheerkensweg: 50 km/h
- Worksite: 15 km/h
- Factory halls: 5 km/h
Please reverse-park in designated spaces.
Dutch traffic regulations apply throughout the premises.
3. Escort AND REGISTRATION
You may only enter the site when accompanied by your Sif contact person.
- Maasvlakte 2:
- Report to the gatehouse before entering the site. Security may inspect both visitors and vehicles.
- Show a valid ID (passport, ID card or Dutch driving licence).
- Visitors under 18 are not permitted.
- You will receive a visitor badge, which must be worn visibly during your visit and returned upon departure.
- Report to the main office reception before entering any other buildings. Sign in and out here.
- Roermond:
- Report to the reception of the main building (Building 4, Mijnheerkensweg 36). Sign in and out here.
- Show a valid ID upon request (passport, ID card or Dutch driving licence).
- Wear your visitor badge visibly and return it when leaving.
4. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
PPE is available at reception and mandatory in production and storage areas:
- Covering clothing: short sleeves, shorts, skirts, dresses, open shoes and high heels are not permitted in the factory
- Safety glasses
- Safety shoes
- Safety helmet
- Hearing protection (in the halls)
- Orange safety vest
5. Other Rules
- Smoking: Only permitted in designated outdoor smoking areas.
- Alcohol and drugs: Use, possession or being under the influence is strictly prohibited. Alcohol and drug testing may be conducted.
- Waste: Dispose of waste separately in the appropriate bins.

Your appointment at Maasvlakte 2 is only valid if you complete and submit the access form below.
Failure to comply with these rules may result in a warning or removal from the premises.
