We Make Sif

At Sif, we deliver quality. On time. We succeed thanks to our colleagues: skilled professionals with knowledge, experience and flexibility. We invest in their growth, give them space to learn and challenge them to bring out the best in themselves.
Our people make the difference. They’re committed, solution-oriented and driven. That mindset – the Sif spirit – keeps us ahead of the market.

“Building something big – and building yourself.”

Cas van Tilborg, OP Welder

“At Sif, you’re not just working on the energy transition – you grow with it.
When extra hands were needed at Maasvlakte 2 at the end of 2024, we travelled from Roermond to help out straight away. For ten months, I worked on fit-ups: welding steel plates. The machines there are completely different from those in Roermond. They use much newer technology, with more sensors, and are more sensitive. All the screens are touchscreen-operated.
You learn welding mainly by doing – and by staying curious.

Together with colleagues from Roermond and Rotterdam, we explored the welding process in depth. We wanted to gain more control, increase output and reduce the number of repairs. That takes teamwork.

Being away from home was tough, but I learned new techniques and experienced what it’s like to build something new together.
At Sif, you work with pride – on wind energy and on yourself.”

“Working safely is something we do together.”

Caroline van der Plas, SHEQ Director

“At Sif, safety isn’t an add-on – it’s part of everything we do. Whether you’re a welder, operator or engineer, your safety and that of your colleagues always comes first.

An accident can happen in a split second. Precisely because things often go well, the risks can seem smaller. But one wrong moment can have serious consequences. That’s why we invest in awareness, knowledge and culture.

We work with the Safety Culture Ladder: a practical approach to learning and improving together. Our safety coaches play a key role in this. They lead by example and encourage open conversations.

Typical Sif: no blame, just solving things together. Because here, it’s not just about what you do – it’s about how you look out for each other.”

“Smarter building with the Skybox.”

Michel Kurstjens, Product Strategy Director

“At Sif, we keep innovating. We look for smart ways to broaden and deepen our offering. The Skybox – the next step in TP-less technology – and the circular monopile are great examples.

By working closely with clients and other players in the offshore wind chain, we continuously develop new products and services. This strengthens our role in the supply chain and helps keep offshore wind costs low.

That’s how we’ve grown into a total solutions monopile provider.”

“At Sif, you learn true craftsmanship.”

Nicole Vossenberg, Learning & Development Manager

“At Sif, you don’t just learn a trick – you learn a trade. We train our people to become welders, transport operators or rollers. Our learning paths combine theory and practice so you develop the right skills to grow in your profession.

We also have our own Sif Academy: an online learning platform where all learning and development comes together – always accessible, whenever it suits you. Here you’ll find all your certifications, (online) training and instructions.

We believe you perform better when you keep growing. That’s why we invest in development – for safety, quality and job satisfaction.

Craftsmanship is something you build together. And we’re proud of that.”
