Production Process
We are experts in serial rolling, automated welding and coating of thick steel plates for tubular offshore foundations such as monopiles and other foundation components. We also produce primary steel for transition pieces, jacket legs, pin piles and pile sleeves. Our production takes place in two locations.
From steel plate to offshore foundation
The production of each monopile starts with welding together several plates while still flat. These are then milled to size, rolled to a tubular form and assembled into complete monopiles in our assembly hall. In Roermond, we produce the primary steel for transition pieces, which are then equipped with platforms and other components by our partner, Smulders.
We have a separate production line in Roermond for smaller tubular components. Depending on market demand, this production line is also used to produce pin piles for jacket foundations for offshore wind energy projects. The production method for the primary steel for transition pieces and for smaller tubular components is similar to the production method for monopiles.
